When I first moved to Dayton in September of 2018, I wanted to start photographing around the area and some of it's people as quickly as possible. I had only been in town a few days when I contacted Cassidy (I found her on Instagram) and asked if she wanted to get together for a session. I'm so glad I didn't hesitate, because she was moving away the next week! We planned and within two days of first contact, we met down in the Oregon District for a portait session.
Cassidy has such a great, vintage vibe. I love the wardrobe she brought. We met up at Press Coffee House on a quiet Thursday morning, walked up and down the main street of the Oregon District, and we had a great time!
I just love Cassidy's blue/green eyes. They are captivating. I couldn't help getting lots of close ups. The look of the Oregon District is just so cool. Such great colors and unique buildings. Really pairted well with Cassidy's unique look.
I really get all the Halloween vibes from the second half of this session. Between Cassidy's top, the color of the buildings, the fact that we took these photos right at the weather started to turn, and the red/orange of her hair: I just want fall weather and some hot apple cider. Maybe to dress up and pass out candy.
I'm so glad I got to know Cassidy before she moved. We got together for another session this past fall when she was visiting family. It was so wonderful getting together with her for another session. She's a wonderful soul. Keep an eye out on my blog for that session!
