When I booked sweet Aria's One Year Cake Smash and Family photos, I did not expect it to be my last session before taking a three + month break!
Covid-19 caused a lot of changes for all of us around the world. I'm so glad I was able to get Aria's one year pictures and this family session in before the quarantine started. We made sure to keep a safe distance but still get great photos of the family and the cake smash. This was a tough challenge for me as I am very detail-oriented and like to fix hair, clothing, and adjust posing when I'm photographing: instead I had to ask Mom and Dad to help everyone out instead!
This family of five was so much fun! The 3 year old was a bit rambunctious and gave lots of silly faces. Mom said, that's just how we are going to remember him at three! I love when personalities shine through in photos. So many smiles and giggles that morning!
We split the session in half to get Aria by herself in the studio. Since the park we did family photos as was close, it was really easy to make that happen. That way we didn't have to worry about the weather or the older kids distracting (or helping) Aria.
I love this wood background and floor for the photos! Also, sweet Aria's adorable cherry onesie! So stinking cute! One year photos are such a celebration. The kiddos just grow and change so much so quickly.
Then is was time for the best part: CAKE!
I love how intense Aria got there at the end! haha.
There's always a mess after cake smash sessions! That's one of the best things about these sessions: making a mess and it's %100 what's supposed to happen!
I always love having fun during my sessions, and cake smash sessions are some of the best!
