H Family in Dumfries VA Fall 2017

I love working with the same family over and over again. I love watching families grow - in size, experience, and love.

Addy and I talk a lot before every session. For this session, she found a park close to her home for these fall pictures. The day was windy and chilly, so we tried not to keep the boys out too long. I'm so glad we took a few minutes before heading to the park to take some photos on their front porch. I love catching families at home, where they spend the most time. It helped that Addy had that beautiful fall wreath, plants, and pumpkins, to add to the autumn colors.

While driving back to their house after the first stop, we spotted some yellow leaves and made a pit stop. There was some construction work right by those colors, but you wouldn't even know it! I like that we were able to grab some more fall colors for their portraits. I love that we were able to capture the rambunctiousness of the oldest boy. He was at an age where he wanted to just explore and be silly. I love those little moments.
