Russ & Kasey Backyard Wedding Spring 2021

Everyone dreams of the perfect wedding day. When Russ & Kasey tied the knot, it really was the perfect day. The weather was just right, there was zero drama, friends and family were all laid back and just happy to be there, everything ran smoothly. It was a dream come true.

Russ and Kasey were married on Russ's grandparents property just south of Columbus. It was a beautiful spot for a ceremony and reception. They were also able to have fireworks AND a bonfire! They just wanted their family and friends to relax and have fun while celebrating their marriage.

When I first met Russ and Kasey, I knew we would have a lot of fun together on their big day. They are both beautiful souls. I loved taking time to get to know my clients before their wedding. It's nice to have a conncetion and make sure we are all happy with each other before the big day. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day, so make sure you like them!

Also, can we talk about the best man, Chai! I love fur babies and he was just the sweetest. His suit was perfect!

Russ & Kasey loved taking time away for photos after the ceremony. I like having the coulple away for a few minutes so they can just enjoy each other after the ceremony: letting that newly married feeling sink in.

I absolutely love these photos we took about an hour before sunset. The light was stunning: so I grabbed Russ and Kasey for just a couple minutes to get some dramatic photos.

The details that were put into Russ and Kasey's day were so beautiful. As neither bride or groom were living close to Columbus, Russ's mom did a lot of the planning for them. Everyone involved showed their love for Russ & Kasey and there was no lack of care and attention to the details for their wedding day.

One of my favorite things to capture at receptions (besides those big moments that are a part of most ceremonies) are all those smiling faces amoung the guests. Weddings just bring out so much happy!
