Only three words needed to introduce this post: Pet Birthday Session.
This is our senior Shiba Inu, Yamato. When his fifteenth birthday was coming up, I new I had to something special. We adopted this guy just a few weeks shy of his thirteenth birthday, and we were too busy getting prepared to move for his fourteenth that I didn't even think about doing something special! (Special for me, obviously, not for him - haha. All he cared about were all the extra treats he was getting and the flying confetti!)
Nothing too fancy, but I just wanted to celebrate that this guy was FIFTEEN!!! So a bow tie on his collar, a couple balloons, and colored paper confetti!

He's kind of like, "Why are we doing this?"
And then there was confetti throwing! These are my favorite! He may look "happy" but it's only cause he was trying to eat the confetti as it flew at him!
My absolute favorite photo is that last one! I need it on my wall!
Once I got that one, I hustled Yamato out of the studio space so he didn't devour all the confetti before I got it cleaned up.
He definitely earned his nap that day.
