Fall is such a wonderful time to take pictures. I love the colors, the cooler weather, the soft light. There’s just something so special about the fall. After a hot summer, it's so fun to put on sweaters, boots, and scarves, and enjoy the cooler air with a photo session.
I love this family. I also love when friends turn to clients (and even better, when clients turn to friends!) I was so excited to plan this family session with Addy. I drove all around the area to a bunch of different parks looking for some fall colors the week before our session. I ended up passing a small park right by where I did my grocery shopping. It was right around the corner and it was perfect!
It's always important to do “breakdowns” during you session, no matter how big or small the family! Kids alone, kids together, kids with mom, kids with dad, boys together, girls together, ect. It’s easy to remember to get pictures of the kids without mom and dad: but don’t forget mom and dad without the kids! These images of mom and dad are so gorgeous. And it’s great to have a minute alone together.
I love this little guy's personality! Only two; he was ready to explore the world and tromp around in those boots. I love capturing those moments in between all the smiles. He totally stole the show during this session!
I can't believe how quickly families change and kids grow. This wonderful family and I are now in different states and I havn't taken their pictures in almost four years. They now have three beautiful boys and this little guy just turned 8! It goes by so fast! Whether you are celebrating a milestone or just each other, photos are a great way to capture your family in that moment. It's those little moments that make up life.
