Kate and Daniel were absolutely adorable and they had a beautiful and unique wedding day.
I worked with the talented Jenifer Morris for this wedding. While she was with Kate and her bridesmaids while she was getting ready, I met Daniel and his groomsmen at the church for some pre-ceremony photos. Daniel was really excited and couldn't wait to see his beautiful bride!
Kate and Daniel chose to see each other for the first time on their wedding day when Kate walked down the aisle. They had their ceremony in the heart of DC at the beautiful Mt Vernon Place Methodist Church. There was a working balcony where I was able to spend the ceremony. You can really see how blissfully happy Kate and Dan are to be marrying each other.
Kate's choice of cornflower blue for her bridesmaids paired with a yellow bouquet was just stunning and was perfect for her June wedding. Her beautiful white bouquet was accented with touches of blue to match her bridesmaids.
We went for photos down to the Jefferson Memorial. I love when we get to the part of the day where we get to sneak off with the couple for a few minutes. It's such a great opportunity for them to spend some quiet time away from the craziness of the wedding day. Even though they have cameras pointed at them, that time is really meant for just the two of them to take each other in.
The columns of the Jefferson Memorial make for some beautiful photo backgrounds. Kate and Daniel were wonderful to take photos of among those columns.
The reception was at one of the coolest venues I've been to in DC: The Mansion on O.
The reception room was stunning with all it's photos, chandeliers, mirrors, red walls, and decorated ceilings. No decorations or flowers were needed, the room was enough to make the place glamorous. The mansion has secret rooms and passages that the reception quests were allowed to explore for a bit. This place is just beautiful and has incredible character. Plus the food and dessert was AMAZING!
It was just wonderful spending the day with Kate and Daniel. Their joy and love for each other was infectious!
