Photography has a lot to do with light. So, it's fun to practice different lighting sometimes. It is hard to find models who are willing to sit for a long time in one spot while I move my studio lights around. That's why I'm thankful for Liz, another photographer, who also likes to practice with lighting!
I wanted to focus on a few specific lighting set ups for this practice session. It was fun to play with the lights, chat and drink coffee with Liz a bunch, take some photos, and create a little art!
I really like these photos with the orange gels. I am always learning and have so much still to learn about using gels in photography. I don't use them enough!
Liz also wanted a turn practicing with gels. She's an amazing photographer and she had fun going through my styled wardrobe for a look for me. I am not as good of a model as she is. But it was fun dressing up for once, I don't do it often. Very vintage.
