The first thing I have to say about this session is that these two kiddos are stinking adorable! They stole my heart during our time together! They laughed and played and (with a small bribe near the end) smiled so much for our pictures!
Matt & Mareike actually live in my neighborhood. It was great to get together for a mini session one weekend this fall, take pictures, and get to know each other better.
Narrows Reserve in Beavercreek, Ohio is a gorgeous spot for pictures! I love locations were there are a lot of great spots to take pictures without having to walk too far away from the parking lot. We don't get sweaty and the kids don't loose interest when we can just walk a few feet away from the cars and have some gorgeous fall colors and leaves as a backdrop.
I also brought my 2019 fall props for some of the photos. Pumpkins, the hay barrels, blanket, and a basket with squash just add to the feeling of the season. I love finding fun items to add to a session. The hay barrels exploded in my trunk and I'm still bringing hay in with the grocery bags, but it was totally worth it.
And those smiles! Love it! Any chance we can get to have a little fun and get some super happy smiles! The kids arrived ready to play with leaves, even before we started with pictures.
While taking more "formal" pictures, I always keep an eye out for those in-between moments. The kiddos and mom went to check out the water and I loved that quiet moment of exploring life together. I grabbed a shot and it ended up in the final gallery for the family. It's those in-between everything moments that make up our lives, so why not our pictures as well.
