Theo's newborn session was a bit of an adventure! Born right after quarentine was lifted in the US, and my first newborn session after Covid: mom, dad, and I wanted to take all care in keeping any possible chance of passing covid to Theo to a minimum! I quarantined the two weeks before the session, wore a mask, had mom and dad pose Theo, and stayed as far away as possible within the space.
Theo is such a cutie! Mom and Dad had so many ideas for his photos! I loved all the props and outfits they wanted to include!
When Theo was fed again and relaxed after his solo pictures, we included mom and dad in some photos. I love their big bay window with all that natural light!
Spending time in the nursery for family photos is always a must for me when doing a newborn session. It's nice to spend time in a place the family has put a lot of love into in expectation for bringing home a baby.
The home's backyard was so gorgous, we just had to take some photos outside!
Dad had a special request for nursery pictures. Because Theo came in the middle of Covid quarantine, the family did a virtual baby shower and it was important to mom and dad to show off all the family had done for little Theo. I was actually the first person to come meet Theo in person! (Oustide of the hospital staff)
One piece of advice: schedule your newborn session before baby comes, it makes life so much easier! Your photographer should take care of everything so you can focus on baby! (Everything except picking the best time to show up.) Taking care of the consult and contract before you deliver makes the session much less stressful. Email me with any questions!
