Tony reached out to me about doing a portrait session in the summer of 2019. We had no idea when we scheduled the session that the day would be SO HOT. Even in the morning. Tony pushed through: as a trained dancer and actor, he's used to working hard.

This was my first time at Oaks Quarry, and we barely scratched the surface of this amazing park. I love the openness of it.

I really enjoyed getting to know Tony during our session. As an artist himself, I was able to do more "artsy" portraits with him. I really love the photo with him in the white wildflowers.

We also wanted to incoorporate a bit of his danceing in the photos as well. I brought that sheer mint fabric to see what shapes we could make with it. I really love the motion.

Oaks Quarry did not disappoint as a location. I love the direct sun and playing with all those shadows it casts. One of the great things about my job is I'm always going to new locations to photograph. I love exploring the place I live!
