The 80's were calling, so we picked up that corded landline and decided to design a retro rock 'n roll themed session.
Arielle is such a beauty and has a wonderful smile and gorgeous soul. She showed up dressed to the theme for our styled session, so I took a few photos before we changed. I love those simple, natural light portraits that we started the session with. Just Arielle as her genuine self.
Arielle also brought the first look with her- I ADORE those ombre, sequin pants with the red shoes! How gorgeous! After that, she trusted me to tease out her hair into a mohawk. It turned out just the way I hoped, though I don't envy her trying to brush it out later!
I loved switching to that teal background for the final look. I had the seguin jacket, but Arielle provided the rest. I think she is in her natural state in retro rock 'n roll looks.
This was such a great session: working with Arielle again and being in the studio. Time in the studio allows me to really focus more on lighting and it's a different feel from doing natural light portraits outdoors. Playing with light is one of the best parts of studio photography.
