I always like celebrating families. And celebrating extended families is even better: more love going around!
With the kiddos all being pretty young, we decided to just do the family pictures at home for this session. It was nice to keep the kids inside until the we were ready for pictures, then they only had to be outside for a bit (it was HUMID that day!) It's always an honor to get different generations together for pictures. Even better when families are spread out and able to get together for the first time in a long while!
All these smiles are just too cute! And I love the few candid photos while the kids were running around.
Also, it's great to update family photos during breakdowns during your session! Update your immediate family pictures at the same time as getting photos with the rest of the family.
I'm so glad we took a few minutes to also get some pictures on their front porch. At home sessions are also great to include the home where you spend most of your time together. This family had a beautiful, green, backyard and a nice brick front porch with space to get everyone together.
It was an extra blessing to get this family together last summer and get some pictures for everyone together. They are even more spread out now with some relocations and it's even harder to get everyone together. I'm so happy the family will have these memories to look back on.
