Sarah and I were college roommates for over four years and when she told me she was getting married I was so excited! I was also very lucky to spend the day with her to photograph her big day!
When we were planning her engagement session, we weren't positive how we were going to make it happen as she still lived in Michigan and I was in Virginia. But they planned a trip with another couple for Fourth of July to come to DC! So we saw the sites, did some tourist stuff, and I carried around my camera. Wherever we felt inspired, we took photos! It was a blast.
Because we didn't do a "traditional" session, their engagement photos ended up being very casual. That didn't stop us from having fun and laughing a lot!
This spot along the Georgetown Canal is one of my favorites. This day the water was high and the leaves were bright green. Sarah and Nate were just happy to be together.
We also did a couple photos of just Sarah in my apartment courtyard after some rain.
I loved celebrating Sarah & Nate's engagement with them! What a blast.
