I cannot express how wonderful it was to celebrate Tara and Erin's wedding with them. There was so much laughter and joy that day it was hard not to join in! From the lovingly hand crafted bouquets made by Tara, to paper airplane programs and the globe with stars on all the places they'd been together: their travel-themed wedding was full of special details.
Tara and Erin got ready together in a hotel suite, which is such a fun was to spend the wedding morning together! They just stayed hidden from each other and travelled to the US Marine Corps Memorial Park separately to do the first look and portraits. Just minutes from the hotel and then the final venue, we barely got wet on this drizzly April day.
Fun Story: during their first date, Tara and Erin acquired a travel bottle of tequila. Without really knowing how, it remained unopened and traveled the years with them until in was finally cracked open and shared by the two of them at their wedding ceremony!
One thing that really resonates with me, over a year later as I finally get around to posting these photos on the blog, I just remember how welcoming Tara and Erin were to me, a stranger, meeting them for the first time. The few hours I get to spend with couples on their wedding day, always makes me feel like I know them so well. It's a big moment to be a part of!
I wanted to share this post as a part of a celebration of Pride month (I know we are getting near the end!). To say that Love is Love. Year round and 24/7. I'm ready to capture all that love I see shared on these once in a lifetime days.
