Sometimes I just need to make art and try something new. This session was all about creating an intense make up look and play with lighting gels.
Collab work is so good for the soul. Working with other people to create art can be complicated and frustrating, but so rewarding to do something you can't do on your own.
I wanted to do a Grace Jones inspired session and had worked with Alex before. She was game for doing a dramatic make up look. She brought in Zee, whom she knew from other sessions. It was amazing working with these women.
These editorials with the orange gels were so fun to create. I love the magazine style images and have the last image on my studio wall. I don't think it will ever come down! It's one of my favorites!
